A Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas revelou neste domingo (19) os vencedores da 73ª edição do Emmy. A grande vencedora da noite foi ‘The Crown’, com 7 prêmios. “Ted Lasso” e “O Gambito da Rainha” foram os destaques em seus respectivos gêneros.
“The Crown” dominou completamente as categorias de drama. A história da família real britânica levou todas as categorias: série de drama, atores principais (Johs O’Connoer e Olivia Colman), coadjuvantes (Gillian Anderson e Tobias Menzies), roteiro (Peter Morgan) e direção (Jessica Hobbs).
Quem se deu bem foi a comédia “Ted Lasso”. A série da Apple TV+ ganhou o prêmio principal da categoria e também teve seu protagonista (Jason Sudeikis) e dois de seus coadjuvantes (Brett Goldstein e Hannah Waddingham), premiados.
“O Gambito da Rainha” da Netflix, se consagrou como melhor minissérie e levou o prêmio de melhor direção na categoria, para Scott Frank.
O evento foi apresentado pelo comediante Cedric The Entertainer em Los Angeles. No Brasil o Emmy 2021 foi transmitido pela TNT.
