Walt Disney Animation Studios has unveiled a fresh trailer for “Wish: The Power of Desires”. In the clip, the lead character Asha, voiced by Ariana DeBose, stands up to King Magnificent, portrayed by Chris Pine. The film brings back the iconic song “When you Wish Upon a Star”, renowned from the 1940 animation “Pinocchio”.
“Wish” tells the tale of a dreamy young girl whose wish is granted by a cosmic entity named Star. Together, they set out on a mission to challenge the authoritative King Magnificent to safeguard their community. The voice cast also includes Alan Tudyk, known for “Encanto”, Victor Garber, Angelique Cabral, Evan Peters, Harvey Guillén, and Ramy Youseff.
Directed by Chris Buck, the mind behind “Frozen”, and Fawn Veerasunthorn from “Raya and the Last Dragon”, the movie has Jennifer Lee as co-writer. Production is helmed by Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes.
