Johnny Wactor, a 37-year-old actor known for his role in the series “General Hospital,” died on Saturday (25) after being shot during an attempted robbery in downtown Los Angeles, according to the site “TMZ.”
Wactor portrayed the character Brando Corbin from 2020 to 2022, appearing in around 200 episodes of the long-running show on ABC.
His career began in 2007 with the series “Army Wives,” and he also appeared in other notable shows like “Westworld,” “The OA,” “NCIS,” and “Siberia.” In 2023, he starred in the film “Supercell” alongside Alec Baldwin.
According to his mother, who spoke to “TMZ,” Wactor was with a colleague early Saturday morning when he saw three men attempting to steal his car. She said he did not try to stop the robbery but was shot as the thieves fled. The suspects have not yet been apprehended by the police.
Wactor was rushed to the hospital but did not survive his injuries.
