Kate Middleton, officially known as the Princess of Wales, has successfully undergone a planned abdominal surgery. The procedure took place on Tuesday, and the princess is expected to remain in the hospital for a period of ten to fourteen days, as informed by the Palace.

Following the surgery, based on medical advice, Kate is not expected to resume her public duties until after Easter. The Royal Palace emphasized that the health issue faced by the princess is not related to cancer, but the nature and duration of her hospitalization indicate a significant medical condition.

The Palace’s statement revealed that the Prince of Wales will adjust his commitments during this period, avoiding official duties while Kate is hospitalized. She plans to recuperate at her Windsor residence, alongside her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kensington Palace announced: “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery.” The princess is aware of the public interest her surgery will generate and has expressed her wish to maintain normalcy for her children during her recovery.

The London Clinic, described as the UK’s largest independent private hospital, is located near Regent’s Park in London. Kensington Palace informed that further updates will only be provided when there are significant new developments.
